Born in Englewood, New Jersey, Father Ashley Harrington is a member of the Carmelite Province of the Most Pure Heart Of Mary.  Ordained in 1967 Ashley spent his first years of priesthood teaching in Carmelite high schools in the Midwest and Canada.  He was then appointed rector of the prep seminary at Niagara Falls.  In 1981 Father Ashley was elected Commissary Provincial for the East Coast and Canada.  He served two terms and then became pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Tenafly, New Jersey.  After 16 years in Tenafly Father Ashley moved to Manhattan and is currently engaged in retreat work and adult education.
